MANOR ORIGIN Farmers Market promoters and producers are urging everyone in the north Leitrim area to reduce their carbon footprint by shopping at the Market, which takes place at the Bee Park Community Centre every Friday between 10am and 2pm.THE NORTH Leitrim and West Cavan Carers Group will promote a Fundraising Open Day from 12noon to 4pm in the Bee Park Community Centre on Friday, June 12. The Carers Group will have craft stalls, car boot stalls, an information stand, a raffle, relaxation therapies as well as refreshments all available in the Bee Park Community Centre during the four hours when their Fundraising Day takes place. THE NEXT Manorhamilton Christian Fellowship meeting takes place on this Thursday night, May 28 at 8pm in the Bee Park Community Centre and its is open to all members of the public. FOLLOWING ITS last meeting eleven new members joined the recently formed North West Vintage and Heritage Club (NWV&H Club), bringing the Club's total membership to a very satisfactory 96 in total at the moment. Meanwhile Club Chairman Seamus Ferguson and some other members travelled to Ballinamuck, Co. Longford on Sunday, May 17 to participate in a tractor run in aid of Multiple Sclerosis Ireland. COMMUNITIES IN towns, villages and rural areas all over Leitrim can benefit this year from grant-aid that will be provided by Leitrim County Council under its Local Agenda 21 for Community Environmental Projects. DEEPEST SYMPATHY is extended to the family of Seán McTaggart, Launtaggart Glencar on his sudden death, which occurred at his home on Sunday, May 17. Seán's remains reposed at his home on Tuesday evening, May 19 prior to their removal to St. Osnat's Church, Glencar. His Funeral Mass and Service took place on Wednesday, May 20 in St. Osnat's Church with burial afterwards in Diffreen Cemetery. Seán's wife Margaret (Peggy), sons Gerry and John, daughters Rosie, Noleen, Christina, Kathleen, Valerie, Breda, Fidelma and Antonia, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, relatives and friends, survive him. DEEPEST SYMPATHY is extended on her death to the family of Katie Fox, Shasmore Manorhamilton. Katie's remains reposed at her home on Monday afternoon, May 18 prior to their removal that evening to St. Aidan's Church, Ballaghameehan. Her Funeral Mass and Service took place on Tuesday morning, May 19 in St. Aidan's Church with burial afterwards in Rossinver Cemetery. LEITRIM COUNTY Childcare Committee has formed the Leitrim Childcare Workers Panel, which Childcare Providers can utilise when they become short staffed for one reason or another. It is intended that the Panel will be available to all childcare services to provide cover for holidays, sick leave or occasional, unforeseen emergencies.
