All support for our competitors would be greatly appreciated. Mary Gordon has been appointed as secretary of our club and we wish her well in her new role.. Tickets are currently on sale for the hilarious comedy "Cupid wore skirts" which will be held in Dromore West Community Centre on February 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Tickets are €10. Children are free on Friday,1st if accompanied by an adult. All proceeds go to St. Farnan`s Community Park.
Indoor hurling has resumed in Easkey F.R.C.on Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings for all ages.The under 14 team are due to play Manorhamilton on Sunday in Easkey. St. Brigids of Dublin are making a return visit to Easkey on the 26th and 27th of January to play football and hurling matches on both days against the under 14 team.
The under age presentation function for the club, following a hugely successful 2012 will be held in the Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone on Saturday, February 9th.Further details later. The January Club meeting will take place on Monday 28th January at 9pm in St. Nathys Hall.
This is the first meeting of 2013, and we have a very busy year ahead, so it is very important that as many members as possible make a special effort to attend.
The Club lotto is now due for renewal, and tickets will be available from the usual sellers or any Club officer. This is the main fundraiser and covers the clubs day to day expenses including Insurance, Affiliation fees and pitch maintenance, the people in the local community have always been very supportive of this fundraiser and we would ask them for their support again in 2013. The current Jackpot stands at €6700.
The management of both U12 & U16 teams would like to thank everyone who turned out to support both teams on the night of the medal Presentation, also to those who supplied food and those who helped out on the night . Special word of thanks to Seamus O Dowd who took photographs.

The Club AGM took place at the community park. The Chairman's and Secretary's addresses outlined how successful the year had been contesting finals at u-14; u-16 and minor level as well as the renowned success our Intermediate County champions and the "Raid of Kiltoom". Outgoing officers, players, ticket buyers and sellers, supporters and sponsors were thanked for their vital assistance throughout the year and it was also noted that there was a need for more new faces and parents to get involved in order to maintain the success of the club in 2013. Our Club Rince Foirne Team,Novelty Act Group and Conor McGowan in the Scealaiocht competition will all represent Sligo in the Connacht finals of Scor na nOg in Castlebar on this Saturday January 26th in the TF Theatre with competitions starting at 2.00pm. Training for our senior and and junior football panels continues this Friday evening Jan 25th at 8.30pm at the Sports Complex.

An underage presentation night will take place next Saturday night in the Ocean Sands Hotel at 7pm. Medals are to be presented to the u12, u14 and minor squads following their respective league and championship successes this year. Special guest on the night will be Colm McFadden, Donegal's corner forward who was instrumental in their All-Ireland success last year. Everybody is welcome to what should be a wonderful night. TG4 were in Quigabar last Wednesday morning filming the J&M Secondary School senior team for a segment on Seó Spóirt. It will go to air over the course of the next series, during February and March.

Presentation Night, will take place on Saturday night 26 January in Yeats Country Hotel Rosses Point at 8 PM. We will honour our hurlers, U 12 Girls, U 16 Boys, and U 20's 2011. Shamrock Gaels The AGM took place last weekend We are looking to fill the Junior Ladies Manager position – the Ladies had a great run in 2012 and we are hoping we can build on this for 2013 – anyone interested in getting involved should contact Michelle McMorrow.
There was no winner of the Lotto Jackpot – there were five match 3 winners - Liam Galvin, Christy McMorrow, Vincent Henry, Gearoid O'Connor and Ronan Mullen while the house draw was won by Micheal Henry. Gevagh N.S. made a winning start to 2013 when they hosted Manorhamilton N.S. for football and hurling challenges on Thursday last. Four keenly contested games ensued with the Geevagh youngsters emerging victorious on all four occasions
Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Pat Hughes and Denis O'Rourke. Pat suffered a fracture to his cheek bone while Dennis is nursing a fracture to a bone in his foot. Both players are expected to be out of competitive action for four to six weeks.
Senior football training is now in full swing. With the new season just around the corner the management team are looking forward to a good response from all panellists.
Geevagh GAA club are presenting "For Club and County" a new play by Seamus O' Rourke in the Resource Centre @ 8pm on Feb 8th. Tickets @ 10 EURO can be purchased from members of the executive.
Tickets for our Annual Dinner Dance will also be on sale shortly. The event takes place in Kilronan Castle on Saturday March 2nd.

Our first laoch na seachtaine for 2013 is Keith O Reilly. Keith was outstanding for Geevagh N.S. in both football and hurling games against Manorhamilton when he dominated both matches from the pivotal centre half back position.

St. Farnan's Ladies
Our club AGM which took place on Sunday last in Templeterrace Hall was well attended. Outgoing Chairperson Martin Mulligan welcomed all present and thanked everybody who had assisted in the running of the club in the past year while Anne Ruane, the outgoing Secretary, gave a detailed account of the clubs many activities which had spanned the entire year from January to December, highlighting the winning of the Junior C'ship for the first time ever. Mary Kilgannon, the outgoing Treasurer, in a detailed report showed the club to be in reasonably good condition financially, while at the same time emphasising the need for continuous fundraising to enable us to meet our obligations.
Outgoing Childrens Officer Bernie Mullarkey indicated her intention to step down from that position. Officers elected for the coming year were as follows: Chairman : Martin Mulligan; Sec: Anne Ruane; Treasurer / Registrar : Emer Connolly; Childrens Officer: Mary McHugh; PRO : Sean Kilgannon; Co Bd delegates: Martin Mulligan, Anne Ruane, Ray Lang, Don McCloat; A number of team management positions were also ratified for the coming year. Tomas Scott will train and manage the U-8's and U10's and Ray Lang and Don McCloat will continue in charge of the U-12 side with further assistants to be named later in both grades. Martin Mulligan and Anne Ruane will continue in charge at U-16 for another year while Sean Kilgannon will remain in charge of the Minor side. Management teams for the U-14 and Junior sides will be finalised in the coming weeks. Anybody interested in helping out at any grade is asked to contact the club.
