New boys in town and a Rover returns
Sligo Rovers manager, Ian Baraclough, has highlighted the qualities his new signings will bring to the club.
Here's his assessment of the attributes of Evan McMillan, Aaron Greene and Anthony Elding.
EVAN McMILLAN (top, right)(Centre-back signed from Bohemians): Evan is a very clever defender. He's good on the ball and uses possession very well. He's got all the attributes to be a top class player. He's come here to improve his game and give full-time professional football a go. He's settled in very well and is thriving in the professional environment. He's a different sort of player to Jason McGuinness but has his own qualities. He'll be a big player for us.
AARON GREENE (pictured, middle) (winger, signed from Shamrock Rovers): Aaron's been here before and loves the place. Although he's still only a young lad, he knows the League of Ireland scene very well. He's got a lot of potential which has yet to be fulfilled. He's still learning. He can play in two or three positions. He's got obvious talent and has worked extremely hard in pre-season. He's very versatile.
ANTHONY ELDING (right) (striker, signed from Grimsby Town): Anthony's a strong and experienced front player who will give us something different this year.
He's scored goals at every level he's played at and I'm sure he will be a success in the League of Ireland. He's a real predator in the box. That's his strength. Once he's settled in and gets used to the League, he will thrive. I have no doubt about that.
