An unbeaten run of eight for Lang's

LANG'S BAR have made it eight games unbeaten in the Sligo Rovers 11-A-Side Astro Turf League after their 2-1 win against Lick My White Gorilla's. Noel Kenny scored for the Gorilla's who continue to improve Goals from Darragh Fallon and Peter McGowan gave Michael Wood's side their 5th win of the season. Killanaskully Wanderers are now top of the table as they were 4-2 winners against the P.S.O. Brendan Gannon got two of their goals with Jason McNulty and Mattie Brennan getting one apiece. Nigel Hargadon got both goals for the P.S.O. getting him off the mark for the season.

The Pier Head Hotel got their first win of the season and they got it in style as they hit Owenbeg Ramblers for six with no reply. Michael McHugh, Trevor McHugh, Gerard Watters, James Hoey and Paul Brannigan got their goals with Brannigan bagging a brace. Forest Celtic were left to fruitlessly forage as they came out the wrong end of a 5-0 score-line against the Belfry. Keith Feeney got the first of two hat-tricks this week in the League with Kevin Egan getting a double.

The second hat-trick came in the meeting of Boston United and the G.S.S. The G.S.S. had beaten Boston in their previous meeting in the Socrates Healthcare Informatics Cup when they won 1-0. This time Boston won 3-2 with Ronan Cox getting a hattrick. They raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to two from Cox but goals from Kevin Donnegan and Clement McCormack saw the game levelled at 2-2 with Cox then getting the winner.
