SLIGO RFC uunder-17 side reached the final of the Connacht League on Sunday when they overran Westport 41-0 at Strandhill. They will face Corinthians in the final in Galway-a team that they have already met in the league. On that occasion in Corinthian Park they won a very tight affair so they will know what is ahead of them when they face up to this very useful Galway side.

Like Sligo, Corinthians have sailed through the league to reach the final so it promises to be a serious game between the two best sides in the province. The prize at stake as well as the league trophy is a place in the All Ireland semi-final which should sharpen both sides resolve for victory. This Sligo side has a lot of talent spread right across the squad with a good balance of forward power and some very useful footballers in the back line.

The final is scheduled for The Galway Sportsground next Sunday to be confirmed during the week.

The teenage disco is on December 21st.
