Rovers may try to keep Sean Maguire

SLIGO Rovers manager John Coleman may try to keep West Ham striker Seanie Maguire at the Showgrounds.

Maguire's loan spell comes to an end this week. He scored the opening goal in the win over Limerick on Sunday and was named 'Man of the Match.'

Coleman said afterwards: "I thought Seanie was absolutely terrific. He's waited for his chance and he grabbed it with both hands. We'll have to have a chat with West Ham next week.

"I know Seanie loves playing football and he's been a breath of fresh air in training this week and the week before.

"When he's come on he has been a handful all the times.

"He earned that shirt and he has taken it with both hands. I am a firm believer if he does stay, I hope he keeps it for a long time. We'll just see what transpires and take if from there."
