As the Lions tour to Australia roars into action, a Sligo man is going to be there shouting on the boys.

Brian Reilly is an avid rugby supporter and he is leaving the Northwest on June 18th for three weeks.

He said: "I'm actually travelling over on my own.

"I have Irish friends who are living in Melbourne and I'm going to stay with them.

"I'm a big rugby fan, I haven't been to a Lions tour before, but I have gone to a Rugby world cup.

"I thought seeing as my friends are over there, that it was a good opportunity to see them too."

He has tickets to five matches, including three tests.

Brian, pictured, added: "I've been to Australia before.

"I think that we will definitely win!

"I have full confidence in them.

"It's great too seeing Paul O' Connell as captain and also Rory Best getting his call up."

Brian said: "I think they're expecting close to 5,000 Irish to go to the games, a lot of people are travelling.

"I used to play rugby until I was 21, I'm play with the GoodForYou tag rugby team now.

"It's a brilliant event, seeing around 500 people in Strandhill on Thursdays.

"We've lost two games and won one, we're hoping they we'll come good for the end of the season."
