FOURBALL: Pals Pat Devaney and Brian Feeney edged Saturday's fourball competition by a point over Sean Moylan and Tony Mullen.

WINTER LEAGUE: Stiff conditions prevailed once more for the rearranged sixth round of the winter league. Scoring was low as players' resolve was tested with a miserable combination of wind and rain. Dave McGuinness and Fergal Flaherty's good form in section one continues as they clinched the day prize on Bomore with a very creditable score of 1up.

Best score of the day on the Championship course was returned by John Feeney and Dave Edwards who came home level. Again this is another pairing performing strongly in a very competitive section four.

RESULT: Sunday, January 12, Winter League, round six. Championship course winner John Feeney (13) and Dave Edwards (15), level; Bomore winner Dave McGuinness (10) and Fergal O'Flaherty (6), 1up.
