Summoned for being intoxicated and with engaging in threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour on December 5th 2011 at Abhainn Mor, Collooney was Graham Wiley, Willow Park, Maugheraboy.

Inspector Sean McGinty said Gardai were called to the house at 12.10 a.m. following a report that a man was trying to gain entry.

When Gardai arrived a woman came out of the house and Wiley ran from the public road towards the woman shouting that he was going to f***ing kill her.

The defendant had 33 previous convictions.

Mr. Eddie Henry, solicitor (defending), pleaded that there had been a domestic difficulty and that Wiley had been drinking at the time.

The defendant and his partner recently had a new baby and he was foregoing alcohol and other substances, dedicating himself to his family, added Mr. Henry.

Wile told the court he intended staying clear and sober and away from the courthouse.

Judge Kilrane suspended the four month term for two years.
