Sligo has the highest number of empty business premises in Ireland.
The stark statistic is highlighted in a six-monthly commercial property vacancy survey by GeoView.
While the average county vacancy rate is now 11.4 percent, Sligo has a whopping 15.1 percent of its commercial properties lying empty.
This is an increase of 1.1 percentage points on the 14pc recorded last August.
There has been a number of high-profile closures in Sligo in recent months.
These inlcude HMV in Johnston's Court, Mary's of Sligo and Keohane's on Castle Street and more recently Keaney's on High Street.
