Spate of burglaries across Sligo

UP TO half a dozen houses in various parts of County Sligo have been burgled within the past week.

It's believed that the thieves were looking for cash, jewellry or other valuables.

Between the 8th and 9th November, antiques were taken from a house in Ardvarney, Riverstown.

A small amount of cash was taken from a house in Ballindoon on November 7th

Three burglaries occurred in the West Sligo/Enniscrone area, between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on November 9th.

Two were in Culleens and another in Killaduff, Easkey.

In most cases, the houses targeted were along a road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardai.

Meanwhile, householders and property owners are urged to be on the lookout for anything suspicious.
