A YOUNG driver was paying a €3,000 premium for insurance but couldn't afford to keep up the monthly payments.
Summoned before Sligo District Court for not having insurance at Corballa, Enniscrone on April 15th was David O'Hara, Culleens, Dromore West.
Mr. Tom MacSharry, solicitor (defending), pleaded the 21-year- old did have insurance but had stopped paying monthly instalments on the €3,000 premium because he ran out of funds.
Judge Denis McLoughlin fined O'Hara €300.
