Lissadell costs issue set to be resolved this week
SLIGO County Council will learn its fate tomorrow on the Lissadell legal costs issue.
The Supreme Court will make its final decision on the costs of the long running rights of way saga tomorrow (Wednesday).
Legal costs in the case are said to be in the region of €6 million.
The Supreme Court will sit at 10.40am to deliver its judgement.
It has already found in favour of the estate's owners, Edward Walsh and Constance Cassidy, pictured, who are both barristers.
They had argued that rights of way did not exist over the routes through property.
However, the High Court found in favour of the County Council and this decision was appealed to the Supreme Court.
A decision on costs has twice been deferred by the Supreme Court.
This came after the council asked to court to essentially revisit part of its judgment.
