KILLAVIL MAN Keith Henry has been re-elected Cathaoirleach of Ógra Fianna Fáil's National Council.
And the 21-year may also be a candidate in next year's local elections.
Keith, who founded Sligo Ógra Fianna Fáil, defeated challenges from UCD and Limerick based candidates at the organisations AGM held in Dublin last week.
He said "It's a great honour to have my mandate returned again for what is going to be a crucial year for Fianna Fáil.
"We will soon start the selection of candidates for next year's local elections.
"I'm encouraging as many young members across the country to consider putting their case to the people.
"Our leader Micheal Martin said he wished to run candidates under 30 in every local election area and I aim to ensure this is adhered to".
When asked about throwing his own hat into the ring, Keith said "It's certainly something I'll be looking at over the next few months."
Keith is a final year student at NUI Galway where he founded the University's Agricultural Society.
