Helpline proves valuable resource for exam students

AN exam helpline opened on Leaving Certificate results day to take calls from students and parents.
The Exam Helpline 2014 is being provided by the National Parents' Council Post Primary
The 1800 265 165 freephone helpline is open until tomorrow, (Wednesday).
The helpline is sponsored by eircom, supported by the Department of Education and Skills and staffed by members of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.
There are thousands of calls were received last year, helping students make informed decisions about the choices they face and their future career paths.
Don Myers, National Parents' Council Post Primary President said:
"We are delighted to once again provide this valuable resource.
"It can be a very stressful time for parents and students as they work out their options.
"Speaking to a qualified Guidance Counsellor is an invaluable source of accurate and up to date information."
