Additional cover will be in place at Sligo Regional Hospital's Emergency Department during the fleadh.
However, the HSE do not expect the event to have a major impact at the hospital. A spokeswoman said evidence from other hospitals in towns which hosted the Fleadh indicated no major impact on their services.
Sligo Regional Hospital has put additional clinical cover in place at the A&E.
Along with this, the Hospital's Major Emergency Plan has also been reviewed and updated. As part of the planning process for the event, the HSE, Gardai and the Local Authority) engaged with the organisers of the fleadh over a number of months.
The HSE spokeswoman said this was to ensure the impact of the fleadh was minimised on their respective services to the public.
