Demand for rooms is high

WORK is continuing on refurbishing and decorating The Coach House Hotel in Ballymote.
Had it been open this week, it would more than likely have been booked out.
Such was the demand for All-Ireland Fleadh accommodation that even auctioneers' phones in Ballymote were hopping.
Matthew Scanlon, of Eamon Scanlon Auctioneers, said: "It really started about a month ago. Calls and emails were coming nearly every hour looking for accommodation.
"As we do not do short-term lettings, we weren't able to help everyone. We gave them numbers of other agents who might have been able to help them."
He said the enquiries came from the US and England. And in Ireland, they mainly came from Kerry, Galway, Limerick and Clare.
He added: "Clare would be one of the biggest ones. There is a huge following for the music in Clare."
