Council staff have been busy with upgrading works around the city centre for this week's Fleadh.
New footpaths were erected along Castle Street, which is a hive of activity at present.
The pavements are among a number of makeover projects that have taken place recently.
A group of young artists designed eye catching murals in the Adelaide car-park, while a major WB Yeats painting is overlooking proceedings near the bus station on Lord Edward Street.
Sligo Tidy Towns have been doing immense work at sprucing up the area, from painting old buildings to putting up colourful hanging baskets.
