Chefs get ready for London showdown
A TEAM of culinary experts are preparing for a major competition in London at the end of April.
There are chefs from counties Sligo, Donegal, Leitrim and Galway that comprise the North West culinary team.
Among them is Alan Fitzmaurice, head chef in the Glasshouse Hotel.
The top chefs have already impressed earlier this year in another contest at the RDS, taking home four golds, four silvers and six bronze medals.
They will be competing as an independent culinary team at the London competition, known as the Hotelympia International Food Championships.
More than 8,000 chefs will be competing in the event, which runs from April 28th until May 1st in the Excel Arena.
