Arrests following burglaries

BALLYMOTE GARDAÍ have charged a man in respect of a burglary and thefts from cars in Monasteraden, Gurteen.

The man was arrested in respect of break-ins to four cars and a house in September.

He will appear before Sligo District Court on Thursday.

Two men have also been charged in relation to a number of recent burglaries in the Enniscrone area.

They will appear before the District Court at a later date.

A file has also been sent to the DPP following the arrest of another man in connection with breakins to the Playcentre and Conlon House, Tubbercurry, in recent days.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Sligo are investigating break-ins at three houses in Grange, Skreen and Ballisodare. The incidents occurred on Friday last.

Some cash and some jewellery were taken.

Gardaí have again warned householders to ensure all doors and windows are locked and the alarm switched on when premises are unoccupied.

They have also urged people not to leave cash in their homes.
