Annual Cow Dung Fest on August 23

CASTLECONNOR GAA Club's annual "cow dung festival" takes place on the 23rd and 24th of August.

On Saturday the 23rd in the community centre entertainment will be by Pat's Country Roadshow and DJ Mark.

A festival Rose will also be picked on the night where local businesses will be represented on the day.

On Sunday there will the Des Flynn Tractor Run at 2pm.

Registration is from 12 noon and proceeds will go to the Irish Heart Foundation, Castleconnor Defibrillator Fund and the GAA Club.

Entry is €20 per tractor and there will be some spot prizes afterwards in the raffle.

Refreshments will be served to all participants and supporters.

Meanwhile, fun and activities for the kids and future stars of the club will be held on the GAA pitch from 2 - 5pm.

Cow Dung Bingo commences at 5pm with Betsy set to do her business!

There will also be a turf auction taking place during the day and music on Sunday night will be from the 4 Way's Band.
