€2,000 fine

ENRI CORDUFF, Innisfree Coaches, Hazelwood Avenue, Hazelwood, Sligo, was fined €2,000 at Sligo Court for allowing a vehicle to be used on September 16th 2011 at N59 Ballisodare for the carriage of persons for reward without a PSV licence.

Judge Kevin Kilrane said not having a PSV licence was "a particularly serious offence".

He told Corduff he had "a huge onus" in owing a public service vehicle and he was "extremely lucky" he was not off the road.

The Judge warned him that if he was convicted again, he would be "off the road for a long time".

"And if your business folds, you have only yourself to blame," the Judge said.
