Depression is a difficult journey.
But recovery is possible.
Aware is now encouraging people throughout Sligo who are experiencing depression, to come along to its weekly support group in the town.
It could be the first step towards feeling better.
The group meets in Markievicz House, Barrack Street, Sligo every Wednesday at 8pm.
It is free of charge, with no referral needed.
Kate Donnelly, Aware local support group co-ordinator, said: "The support available through Aware's groups can make a real difference.
"Depression is a difficult experience to deal with,
"It can impact on relationships with family and friends, a person's job or their ability to just enjoy moments in life.
"But it is possible to recover."
