Tidy Towns groups to share €70k fund

A NUMBER of tidy towns groups throughout the county are to share in a €70,000 payout from the Environment Minister.
Tidy towns committees along with 'public realm projects' in Ballymote, Tubbercurry, Enniscrone, Ballintogher, Coolaney, Riverstown, Mullaghmore, Grange, Knocknarea and Rosses Point will share €41,000.
A sum of €7,500 has been earmarked for area enhancements in advance of community led events and festivals. Some €21,000 will be spent on enhancement works and tourism projects with the Borough of Sligo.
