The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Banada Peace Park is on Easter Monday at 3pm. This year will include a mini vintage tractor /car /bike display! Fun events for all ages and everybody is welcome. €3 per child or max €10 per family, all proceeds to Banada NS.

COMMUNITY GAMES

The parish finals of the Community Games Model Making and Art competitions were held in Stokane N. S. recently. This was the second year these events were held in the school and both proved very successful having been run for the first time over two evenings. The committee would like to thank the principal Michelle Bonner, Christine Flynn and the schools' board of management for the use of their facilities.

Congratulations are extended to Laura Doohan, Doocastle and James Hannigan, Ballyshannon who were married in St Patrick's Church Moylough recently.

The ceremony was performed by Rev Leo Henry P.P. Bridesmaids were Olive Bailey, Sarah Mc Intyre and Triona Kennedy, groomsmen were Shane Gallagher, John Boyle and Damian Mc Grath. Flower girl was Katelyn O Hara and page boys were Tadhg Kennedy and Niall Bailey. The wedding reception was held in The Castledargan Hotel Collooney.

The sudden death of Cathriona & Michael Feeley, Lavagh was a major shock to the community, they were niece and brother in law of Peggy Byrne, cousins of P.J. Durcan, Curracunnane and the Frizzelle family, Carrowikeen. May they rest in peace.

The death has taken place of Donal Helly, Forthland, Easkey at his residence. His remains were removed from Mc Gowan's funeral Home to St James' Church for Requiem Mass and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry. Sympathy is extended to his family and relatives

The Annual Cycle against Suicide will stop in Enniscrone on Monday, May 5. Host families are wanted to offer a bed for the night to cyclists taking part in this very worthwhile cause. Remains were removed from McGowan's Funeral Home on Thursday 3nd April at 8.00pm to the Church of Our Lady Assumed Into Heaven Enniscrone. Burial took place on Friday 4th April in St.Patrick's Cemetery Kilglass after 11.00am Mass in Enniscrone church. May she rest in peace

SKREEN/DROMARD

HOLY HILL HERMITAGE

During Holy Week outdoor Stations of the Cross will begin, weather permitting, at 3pm followed by the Good Friday liturgy. At 5am on Easter morning everyone gathers in the back courtyard for the lighting of the new fire and a candlelight procession into the chapel for the vigil liturgy. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the library and everyone who would like to attend is very welcome.

PARISH CLEAN UP

The second annual St. Pat's GAA parish roadside clean up will take place on Good Friday April 18th. Volunteers will meet at the Community Centre Skreen at 10.15am. All help appreciated. Volunteers are asked to bring High Vis Jacket and Gloves. For further information or query contact Mark on 087 6183392.

LOCAL BEACH CLEAN UP

Volunteers are sought for local Beach Clean Up on Good Friday starting at 11am. Volunteers will join other volunteers and select a coastal area; Aughris Head, Dumoran, Derk or Portavade to help with a coastal/beach clean up. All volunteers welcome. Children should be accompanied and supervised by adults at all times.

BELTRA COUNTRY MARKET

Beltra Country Market are holding their Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bonnet Competition on Saturday April 19th from 10 until 12 noon. Everyone is very welcome to come along and join in all the fun.
