ON THE shores of Lough Gill, and still only minutes from Sligo Town, St. Angela's College, Sligo offers a wide range of undergraduate degree programmes. A college of NUI Galway, the St. Angela's College programmes are accredited by the University, offering the only university-level education in the region.
The Academic Departments of Education, Home Economics, and Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies offer programmes in: Home Economics Teacher Education (which includes a choice of a second teaching elective: Biology, Religious Education, Irish or Economics), Food and Business Management, Textiles, Fashion and Design with Business Management, Nursing Degrees (General or Intellectual Disability) and Health and Disability Studies.
'St. Angela's College's student enrolment now stands at over 1200 students,' explains Dr Anne Taheny, President of St. Angela's College, Sligo, 'This unprecedented growth over the last decade places the College in an excellent position to continue to offer the highest quality University-level programmes with modern campus facilities, small classes and a strong community spirit.' She highlights two new exciting undergraduate programmes for CAO 2013: the Diploma of Applied Science in Food and Business Management and the Bachelor of Arts in Textiles, Fashion and Design with Business Management.
As CAO closing dates approaches, we invite prospective students to consider these innovative new programmes as well as our many other programmes when making their course choice through the CAO.
The College also offers an Access Programme for school leavers and mature students who wish to study at third level. Participants who successfully complete this Access Course are eligible to apply for direct entry to full-time degree courses at St. Angela's College or NUI Galway.
