Secondary students are honoured at St Angela's

It was 'top of the class' time at St Angela's College last Thursday evening.

Fifty-nine students from 11 secondary schools were awarded for their achievements in Maths, Gaeilge, Science, English and Home Economics.

The students were nominated by their teachers and principals for their hard work and dedication.

They were from Coláiste Mhuire, Corran College, Summerhill College, Mercy College, Ursuline College, Coláiste Iascaigh, St. Clare's Comprehensive, St. Attracta's Community School, Grange Post Primary, St. Mary's College, and Ballinode College.

The special awards ceremony was part of St Angela's Access Schools Programme.

Access Schools Programme Co-ordinator, Carol Gallagher said: "The message students receive by collecting their award from St. Angela's College is that their academic achievements and hard work are recognised and commended."
