The McGee Memorial Hall in Dromore West was given a makeover recently.
A grant for €28,700 from the Sligo Peace and Reconciliation Partnership is being used to carry out essential repairs.
As part of the project, on July 27th, an Intercultural day will be held.
People have the opportunity to meet their neighbours informally.
The Select Vestry formed a partnership with the West Sligo Family Resource Centre in Enniscrone to apply for the grant and organise upcoming events.
Jonathan Harte, Treasurer, said: "The whole experience of applying for the grant and of organising the activities has already allowed us to develop better relations with our neighbours and people from other ethnic backgrounds in the community."
He added: "The McGee Memorial Hall, once a focal point in the community, will once again be available as a resource for the wider community."
A visit to Derry is bringing 45 people from both the Protestant community and the Roman Catholic community for a tour of the city including the Bogside and the city walls.
