The death has taken place of Geraldine Caffrey (nee Boland), Rathlee. Her remains were removed from Sweeney's funeral home to the Star of the Sea Church, Rathlee and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry.

Ante natal classes will commence in Enniscrone Primary Care centre on Wednesday, January 9 from 3.30 to 5pm. Classes will run over 5 weeks including Physiotherapy session in the Primary Care Centre Markievicz House , Sligo. Classes are free of charge. A celebration night was held in the Flying Horse recently to mark the retirement of local man Sean Quinn who has given 37 years' service as a postman in the Dromore West area. It was attended by a large crowd who celebrated with Sean on his long number of years of diligent service to the community. Music was supplied by the Urban Cowboys. Sean is wished many years of happiness in his retirement.
SADIE CONLON RIP
The death has taken place of Sadie Conlon (nee Cummins) Kilbane, Easkey and late of Killurin, Tullamore , Co Offally. Her remains were removed from her residence to St James Church and burial took place in Roslea Cemetry following funeral Mass . A meeting of the Support Group for Carers will be held in the Ocean Sands Hotel, Enniscrone on Thursday January 17, 11am to 1pm.

Plans are underway for a class re-union of the Jesus and Mary, Enniscrone for the first years of 1975 and those who joined this class between 1975 and 1980. It will take place on August Bank Holiday weekend. Enquries to 087 2609124 or 087 9812019.
Work commenced on the construction of the Caravan Park in Easkey on Friday December 14. James Clarke a local man is the contractor. Funds have been received from Sligo Leader Partnership. Clann Credo and a raffle supported by the local community.

St Farnans GAA club held an underage presentation night for both boys and girls in the Community Centre recently. This was a very successful function with special guests Eithne Flanagan, Sligo Ladies and Ross Donovan representing the Sligo senior team. Various awards were presented on the night to the most improved and most committed players from U8 to U 16. Congratulations to all the boys and girls who received awards and to the managers and mentors for their dedication throughout the year.
