THE COOLERA pantomime this year is more popular than ever... oh yes it is!
Now running for 34 years, Christmas in Sligo just wouldn't be the same without it.
The 2012 production is 'Dick Whittington and his Cat'.
Characters are sweet and wholesome but there's a few baddies thrown in too.
Coolera stalwarts Bobby Jones plays the evil King Rat while Brian Devaney plays Sarah Fitzwarren.
Ryland from the X Factor gets a mention as does Finance Minister Michael Noonan.
There are stunning performances too from Vanessa Saunders as Fairy Bowbells, Roddy Quinn as Alderman Fitzwarren, Stephen Devaney who is Captain and the lead role of Dick Whittington by Dylan Doherty.
Directed by Bobby Jones, the producers are Rachel Harte and Ann Marie Banks, while credit for the choreography goes to Mary McDonagh and Steffan Jorgensen.
Assistant Director is Mary McKinney who gets the best from the chorus.
Carole Brennan of the Coolera pantomime said: "Feedback from audience members has been fantastic.
"This year's show is really going down a storm. All of the hard work pays off when you see the sell out crowds enjoying the top class entertainment."
The show runs at the Hawk's Well Theatre to Saturday, December 22nd.
Oh yes it does...!
