The idea for setting up the Little Wings Bird Sanctuary in Banada began five years ago. Owner Christine Bowyer explained: "My husband and I had been fond of taking in rescue birds as a hobby. He always said that I should do something more. Unfortunately, he got a stroke five years ago and died. I decided to set up Little Wings after he died."
