GSK employees get cycling for Hospice

Sligo's GSK employees will be taking part in a fundraising charity cycle next month in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation.

The 'GSK Wheelie Good Cause' annual cycle will take place on September 20th.

Participants can choose either a 50km or 100km route through the North West.

All money raised will go to the Irish Hospice Foundation the chosen GSK Charity of the Year in 2014 and in 2015.

Each of GSK's five businesses in Ireland will also donate €5,000 per annum to the charity.

Employees will also have the opportunity to share their expertise with the charity through its volunteer programme.

GSK will also support the charity in building organisational capabilities.

GSK is one of the world's leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.

It employs 1,500 people in four locations throughout the country.

GSK has a specialist manufacturing operation in Sligo, Stiefel at Finisklin.

The facility produces skin healthcare products including Oilatum and Physiogel.
