It was a fashion design inspired by weeping willow trees.
But for student designer Patricia Carroll from Carraroe, it brought all-round smiles.
Patricia emerged the winner of the student design award at the DIT Fashion Show in Dublin.
More than 1,000 people attended.
Patricia picked up a cash prize of €2,500 for her winning design.
Patricia said: "The natural manner of the weeping willow tree is quite fascinating.
"It it has an extreme elegance, yet sombre appearance, which is depicted from the curtains of drooping branches which sweep the ground.
"I set out to translate these fascinating aspects into an outfit."
The theme of this year's Vodafone DIT Fashion Show, now in its 11th year, was "Enchanted Forest: Hidden Nature".
The top three designs were chosen from an impressive shortlist of nine designs from around the country.
The judging panel included stylist Maria Fusco, broadcaster Brendan Courtney and Irish Independent fashion editor Bairbre Power.
The net proceeds from the show will be presented to the Jack & Jill Children's Foundation.
