Catch of the day for Eithna with top award
A NORTH Sligo restaurant has scooped a major Georgina Campbell award.
Eithna's By The Sea, Mullaghmore, has been chosen as Seafood Restaurant of the Year for 2014.
It will now feature in next year's prestigious publication.
Eithna O'Sullivan, the popular chef behind the restaurant, "went back to school" to complete a thesis on 'Seaweed As An Artisan Food Product".
This has resulted in Eithna being inspired to put many delicious recipes on the menu.
A seaweed tasting plate is in the making for next season. There is also a successful product range of pestos and local seafood. Lobster is a speciality, when available. More affordable choices include grilled mackerel.
