Sister Sledge headline festival

SLIGO will roll back the years to the disco era when Sister Sledge comes to town in August.
The US 1970's and 1980s band will headline this year's Sligo Summer Festival at Stephen Street Car Park.
It will be the band's only Irish festival appearance of 2014.
With hits like We are Family, Thinking of You, Lost in Music, Frankie and lots more, it promises to be a night of classic hits and dancing.
Sligo Summer Festival is in its third year has attracted thousands of people in the previous two years.
Acts such as Ryan Sheridan, Bressie, The Saw Doctors, Sharon Shannon & Mundy have headline before at the festival.
It will run for two nights on Friday August 8th and Saturday 9th 2014, just before the World Fleadh hits Sligo on Sunday August 10th.
Crowds are expected to be well up on previous years given the influx of visitors for the fleadh.
The Saturday night show boasts a list of both national and local acts with The Riptide Movement taking the headline slot.
