The 68th annual Grange Agricultural Show took place at the weekend despite heavy downpours of rain.

But it wasn't all doom and gloom for those who turned up with music from top Sligo musicians, and one lucky lady even being crowned 'Queen of the Show'.

Laura May Lenehan proved to be a hit playing her own set, followed by popular country music artist Declan Nerney.

Other local musicians even took the stage for an hour, bringing spectators to their feet.

Cattle and sheep were on display for all and entries for this year's show was at its highest.

And April Higgins from Claremorris was picked out of the crowd by two judges to win 'Queen of the Show'.

Organiser, Linda Feeney, said it was a "fantastic day out".

"The rain made it quite difficult but the marquee and bar proved to be a hit."

She adde: "Everybody seemed to enjoy it very much."
