Over 50 tractors take part in annual Culfadda event
The Culfadda Tractor Run in aid of Cancer Care West brought over 50 tractors to the South Sligo village.
The tractor run takes about a 15 mile circuit going through Culfadda, Keash, Gurteen, Ballymote and back. Taking about 1 3/4 hours.
This year there was an option for the drivers to go the first two miles in reverse, which quite a few did.
While the drivers were doing the circuit, there were lots of things to keep the people entertained including a bouncy dragon, a bit of live music, a barbeque, a duck race in the river that runs through the village and some 'Dinky Diggers' a unit with eight bays with an excavator, aero-board 'gravel' and a hopper with hand and foot controls for each bay.
Later there was a social in Higgins Lounge with an auction of various items and services including a very big trailer load of turf and another of logs, hosted by Kiernan Mc Gill.
