Kilmore three clear

KILMORE UNITED were very grateful to their title rivals last weekend for a change as St. Leonards and Shamrock Rovers B shared the spoils.
Their 2-2 draw allowed United to open up a three-point lead at the top of the charts courtesy of their heart-stopping 4-3 success over plucky Enniscorthy United, who made a mockery of their current standing at the foot of the table.
Paul Murphy (two), Aaron Goff and Mark Doyle all netted against the Blues who must be feeling blue after putting in such a good shift, only to finish with nothing to show for their efforts. The draw between Saints and Rovers saw Ken Cahill (two) scoring for the former, with Seán Wildes and Graham Denton getting on the scoresheet for the latter.
Ajax Athletic and Rosslare Rangers continued the highscoring trend in their match at Pa Mernagh Park. A Willie Hudson double and Johnny Flynn-O'Connor single was enough to secure a 3-2 win for the hosts though.
Wexford Celtic needed just one goal to get the better of Bridge Rovers in their tie. Seán Carmody was the man to get it, elevating them further away from the drop zone.
Bunclody are the side closest to catching Celtic but they had no joy last weekend, crashing to a 4-0 defeat at home to Ferns United.
