AJAX ATHLETIC showed that they were most definitely up for life in Division 1 as they picked up a point against Adamstown against the odds.
In the 12th minute of their home clash with Adamstown, Ajax star James Buckley received a straight red card, forcing his team-mates to battle for over 75 minutes.
But despite this, the hosts managed to plunder a point from their disadvantaged position after playing out an exciting 3-3 draw.
Dave Galvin, Tomás Mahon and Anthony Russell all scored for the home side, while an Ian White double and a Paddy Sinnott effort earned the visitors a draw.
St. Leonards became the new head boys in Wexford's second tier thanks in no small part to Seán Ryan. The saints striker fired in all three of his side's goals as they ran out 3-2 winners over bottom club Bridge Rovers.
Leonards overhauled Kilmore United at the head of the table following United's surprising 2-1 defeat against Rosslare Rangers in the south county derby.
Finally, Enniscorthy United wedged themselves off the foot of the table on Sunday courtesy of a 3-1 success over Bunclody.
Leaders St. Leonards will be on the road on Sunday when they face Shamrock Rovers in Enniscorthy.
