The county has been split into four areas - New Ross, Wexford North, Wexford South and Gorey - to minimise travelling for these young teams. This league is non-competitive and is based on fun, participation and development.

Reports are coming in about the great games being played and the new football skills that these young girls are starting to develop through playing mini games. It's a credit to clubs and to the County Board development committee to see so many clubs developing this age group which will ensure that ladies' football will continue to grow in Wexford.

The 2012 Grab Your Whistle referees are gaining great experience from this league also as their confidence is growing with every game they handle. An Under-8 and Under-10 mini league/blitz is in the process of being organised for clubs who wish to enter a team - please contact Tom Whelan (087-2437147). The very best of luck to teams with their remaining games.

Anthony Butler and Larry Harte in conjunction with V.T.O.S. continue to visit clubs for mornings of development fun coaching sessions. This programme is being run to encourage the development of girls of nine to 13 to learn the core skills of ladies' Gaelic football in a fun enthusiastic environment. The feedback coming in from clubs who have already participated in the programme is very positive and encouraging.
