Sadness at passing of John Fardy

MUCH SADNESS has greeted news of the passing of GAA stalwart, the late John Fardy.

John, of The Farmhouse, St. Leonards, sadly passed away last Thursday.

Mourners gathered in large numbers in the Church of the Holy Spirit, St. Leonards, on Saturday afternoon to pay their final respects to the well-known Ballycullane man. He was laid to rest afterwards in St. Leonards Cemetery.

John was the popular Club President of Gusserane GAA Club and had a lifelong love of the GAA.

He was sadly predeceased in life by his wife Ger and his daughter Bernie. His passing is now mourned by his children Liam, Clair, Peter, Moll, Kate, Jack and Trudy, his sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, his brother Paddy, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.
