Footballers facing tough Longford tie

WEXFORD HAVE been handed a daunting task in their opening football qualifier game, having been drawn away to Longford yesterday morning.
Last year it took a replay before Wexford saw off the midlanders in the championship, having lost the Division 3 league final to the same opposition, while they squeezed out a league victory when they clashed this year.
But Wexford have to make the journey to Longford which in itself is quite daunting coming on the back of their provincial semi-final exit to Meath. The game will be played on Saturday week, July 13.
The full draw is: Clare v. Laois; Derry v. Down; Longford v. Wexford; Leitrim v. Armagh; Cavan v. Fermanagh; Roscommon v. Tyrone; Kildare v. Louth; Galway v. Waterford.
