COPPER SCULPTOR Peter Hodnett, who designed the globe for the Eternal Emigrant Flame on New Ross quayfront, is one of a number of talented local artists exhibiting their works at the Cockleshell Gallery, Duncannon Fort over the coming months.
The gallery's most recent exhibition was officially launched on Friday night last. The featured artists are Wexford sculptor, Peter Hodnett, artists Laura Gibney and Veronika Kladnakova, with photography by Blokes with Cameras. Other local artists include: Jacques Briel, Ger O'Connor, Pat Sherriff and Joyce Wyatt.
Wexford photographer Paula Malone Carty launched the exhibition, complimenting all the people that are exhibiting. Ms Malone Carty described the art works on show as eclectic. She also mentioned Hodnett's copper works and the fact that one of his recently commissioned pieces is the Globe on the Eternal flame at the Dunbrody Visitor Centre in New Ross. This exhibition will continue until October 31.
