B & The Honeyboy gig

ROOTS and Americana duo B & The Honeyboy play The Cellar Bar at Katie Daly's on Gorey's Main Street on Saturday, April 5 next at 9.30 p.m.
This dynamic duo have been busy touring the country and playing festivals since releasing their second album 'Forgotten Books', which sees them up the ante in the song writing department, garnering favourable reviews from the likes of Hotpress which described the album as 'edgy' with 'infectious tunes and appealing ballads'. Their songs have been compared to Fleetwood Mac, Rodney Crowell and Emmylou Harris.
B & The Honeyboy's gigs are known for their explosive energy and raw blues and roots sensibilities. 'B' is Ferns native Aileen Mythen who is known for her powerful and soulful voice which provides a perfect accompaniment to KJ's gritty and spine tingling guitar sounds. Doors open at 9.30 p.m. with €5 cover charge.
