FINES OF €300 were imposed on a young Adamstown man who was found trying to kick in the door of a taxi office to get at the people he was involved in an earlier altercation with.
Before last Tuesday's sitting of Wexford District Court was Barry Connick from 27 Fairfields Close, Adamstown. Recalling November 4, 2011, Garda Dennehy told the court that on that date Gardaí were called to Monck Street where the defendant was injured in an altercation. He had blood on his face and was directed to leave the area. He was then found on Charlotte Street where he tried to kick in the door of the taxi office to get at the people who he was involved in the alteration with. His partner then arrived in a car and he left with her. In court, the defendant apologised to the Gardaí for his actions. Judge Haughton imposed a €100 fine for being drunk in public and a €200 fine for using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour.
