The event was presided over by the group's current Presdient Dr Bart Curtis and was attended by more than 40 members and guests.

PROBUS has local clubs throughout Ireland, Britain and the rest of the world and provides regular gatherings of people who in retirement appreciate and value opportunities to meet others. The Wexford Probus Club was started in 1981 and currently has 36 members. Meetings are held at the Ferrycarrig Hotel on the first Wednesday of each month and a lunch is held on the third Wednesday of each month.
