A man who is currently serving a jail term in Wheatfield Prison in relation to other charges was brought before Wexford District Court this week to answer to a charge of breaking into a house at Pondfields, New Ross, on November 14 of 2012 and stealing a television.
The court heard that Patrick Kinsella (24) of 54 Lower Mount Carmel, New Ross, was disturbed by the the owner of the house at the time and fled the scene.
Solicitor Gerry Flynn told the court that this charge was a hangover from previous offences and that his client was trying to make the best of his time while serving his sentence and was studying for his Junior Cert. He told Judge Haughton that Kinsella has nine months left on his sentence before Judge Haughton handed down a sentence of eight months to be served concurrently with the current sentence.
