Domicilary review 'heavy handed'

LAY OFF families with seriously disabled children with conditions such as autism. That was the message from Deputy John Browne after cuts in the 'domiciliary care allowance' were introduced. The Fianna Fáil man took up the case of parents who have lost the monthly €309 payment after a review of their circumstances was carried out.
' This was a blunt and heavy-handed review,' concluded the Enniscorthy politician. ' There is no doubt that these children need extra care and supervision compared to other children of their age.'
