Women get active

Published 13/11/2012 | 12:38

FIANNA FÁIL Councillor Michael Sheehan has announced the details of a demo night for women who are especially interested in becoming active in their community. The Inspire and women4election project is an award winning grass roots organisation that will work with women of all ages and interests to equip them to become organisers through the process of campaigns and elections.

It's designed for those experiences and novices who are interested in learning how to become active in their community making changes in their area big and small.

On Wednesday, November 21 from 7 to 9:30 Cllr. Sheehan has invited Inspire to come to New Ross and to do a workshop for women in the New Ross Area who may be interested in learning these skills and playing a bigger role in the democratic process.

The initial night is free and future programmes are based on the demand. For more information or to register: contact Cllr. Sheehan on 087 067 3647 or michael@michaelsheehan.ie Alternatively check out www.womenforelection.ie
