Sean seeks to jog some memories

Published 13/11/2012 | 12:38

FRESH FROM the launch of his latest local history book, author Sean Crowley is on another quest.

He is hoping to identify pupils from an old photograph of the St. Joseph's New School on Michael Street from September 1945.

First in the back row is Lesley Kiely, tenth on the same row is Betty Wright and thirteenth from left in the middle row is Pat Kiely.

According to Sean, these pupils would now be aged in their early 70's.

'Hopefully this snap will jog some memories,' said Sean, who only last month launched 'New Ross Remembers Volume 2', which is packed with hundreds of photos and contains fascinating stories of historical interest

This is Sean's third publication, having published the very wellreceived 'Horeswood Folklore' in 2008 and ' New Ross Remembers' in 2010.

If you can identify anyone in this photo please contact Sean on 086 3916622.
